After her brother, a former member of the crime syndicate "The Siblings of Death" seemingly dies, Zi Lianhua goes into depression. All of this changes when she meets Wang Lao, an eccentric chess player with more connections than he knows. What will happen in this game where the past dictates the present? Will love bloom or will the Siblings of Death assassin Ko Long get in the way and end everything?

After his sister, Lianhua, dies of a mysterious illness that may or may not have come from the Siblings of Death, Zi Hu goes into depression. As Lianhua's possessions are sold off, her memory and legacy seem to be eaten by time. All of this changes when the pacifist Wang Lao decides to reclaim Lianhua's legacy. However, he is not alone. A top operative from the Siblings of Death, Fang, is hot on Lao's trail - and other forces, friends, or foes lurk in the darkness and in wait. Ko Long may be arrested, but it's the Sibling's turn to make their move!
